South Florida Lawyer Forges Judges’ Signatures on More than 100 Structured Settlement Documents
As reported by the ABA Journal and the Sun Sentinel, a Miami lawyer has been charged with forgery for allegedly signing judges’ names on documents in structured settlement cases.
Lawyer Jose Manuel Camacho is facing 14 counts of forgery for allegedly signing the names of seven different judges on the documents. He has been criminally charged. His case is pending in Miami-Dade County. Camacho reportedly forged the judges’ signatures on an astonishing 114 documents. He has reportedly admitted to the forgeries.
